What better time to experiment with your beauty look than at fashion week when you get little choice in the matter – designers have visions for their runway, after all – but equally the opportunity to try before you buy, and switch it back immediately afterwards.
At the Balmain show in 2016, Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid famously switched hair colours – Hadid walking the runway with long brunette locks and Jenner peroxide blonde. This season, both Hadid sisters lost their eyebrows for Versace. Then for Prada, Jenner went redhead for the first time, debuting a brand new copper shade as she walked the show with her hair pulled back into a sleek bun.
Though the look could be just a fleeting fashion week moment, it looks like Jenner’s experimenting with keeping the colour. Similar to that of Sophie Turner, who recently went red and both Zendaya and Gigi Hadid, who experimented with the colour last year.
Today, Jenner was photographed out in Paris – where she’s jetted ahead of the final slew of fashion month shows – showing off her fresh locks while walking around the city with friend Fai Khadra. Wearing a sleek black midi bodycon dress with a black cardigan over the top and black knee-high boots by Gia Borghini Rosie, Jenner looked every bit French chic as she lapped up the European sun.
She wore little to no makeup and accessorised with a pair of square-frame micro-shades in tortoiseshell while wearing a brown shearling mini shoulder bag by Jil Sander.
Though Jenner’s fellow supermodel friend Bella Hadid has used the occasion to mix work and play by bringing her boyfriend Marc Kalman along for the ride, it looks like Jenner’s NBA-playing boyfriend Devon Booker stayed behind in the states with her longtime bestie Khadra taking the obligatory plus-one spot.
