Hey, at least she knows how to poke fun at herself! Lily Collins, who stars as Emily Cooper in Netflix’s show Emily in Paris, stumbled upon a billboard of herself in New York and had a hilarious response.

“I can’t say I love the new look, Em. But A for effort…” the actress, 32, captioned a photo of herself alongside the work of art. Collins also videotaped her husband, Charlie McDowell, walking by the the portrait and getting freaked out.

Of course, her followers and pals, including Ashley Park (who plays Mindy Chen) couldn’t help but praise Collins’ response. “She’s a class act everyone 👏,” she wrote, while McDowell’s famous mom, Mary Steenbergen, added, “Hahaha.”

Other people thought the way the brunette beauty handled the situation was excellent. One person wrote, “Welcome to New York 😂😂 We love you tho ❤️,” while another added, “hahahahaha love the humor!!! 😂.”

A third user added, “So funny! ❤️ love you can laugh at this! ❤️❤️❤️.”

During the season 2 finale, which aired in December 2021, Emily has a lot of decisions to make — will she stay in Paris longer now that she was offered a job and will she give her relationship with Alfie (Lucien Laviscount) a shot now that Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) has seemingly chosen Camille (Camille Razat)?

Season 3 hasn’t officially been picked up yet, but creator Darren Star seems to have a vision as for what fans can expect in the future.

“She has reasons to pick a number of doors at the end of season 2, and our challenge is deciding which of those doors she’s going to choose and why,” he told TVLine. “That’s what season 3 is going to be about. When you live in a foreign country, one of the questions is, where’s your heart? Is it the place you came from, or the place you are at the moment? Emily is going to be struggling with that as well.”

No matter what Emily chooses, it will influence her professionally and personally.

“Because it’s her life, and she does have very strong feelings for Gabriel,” Star explained. “That’s a question she’s going to have to confront is, how can she manage her relationship issues with her work issues, both of which, by the end of season 2, are hanging in the balance.”
