Have you already binged season 2 of Emily in Paris and need more episodes ASAP? We feel you. In the latest season of the Netflix show, Emily Cooper (Lily Collins) finds herself in a few love triangles — are you team Alfie (Lucien Laviscount) or Gabriel (Lucas Bravo)? — and is figuring out what to do next in her career.
Brace yourself, Emily in Paris lovers: the series has yet to be green-lit for another season, but it looks like everyone is on board to make it happen.
“I hope viewers find more of themselves in different characters, and feel seen and represented in the show,” the actress told Glamour. “And I hope that we get a season 3 because I really hope we get to come back and do this again.”
In another interview with PEOPLE, the brunette beauty gushed that she would “love the opportunity to get to do a season 3” — and she even “keeps asking!”
“But whatever choice it is you know it will be filled with drama, fashion and a lot of fun and romance,” she shared.
Marylin Fitoussi, the show’s costume designer, a.k.a. she is responsible for everyone looking amazing, has many more ideas in the pipeline. “My dream for season 3 would be to recycle costumes from season 1,” she told Elle. “I don’t know if we can do that, but I’m dreaming to bring some of Lily’s most iconic outfits to the recycling workshop and see what they can do and recut and make.”
Ashley Park, who plays Mindy Chen, is hoping she gets to reunite with her castmates in Europe.
“Selfishly, I just hope that we get to go visit another city again,” she quipped. “That was such a blast getting to shoot in St. Tropez for two weeks. I think that’s always really fun.”
Since the show introduced a slew of new characters, including Alfie, Mindy’s boyfriend, Benoit (Kevin Dias) and Sylvie’s husband, Laurent (Arnaud Binard) and Gregory Elliott Dupree (Jeremy O. Harris), another season could be imperative so that people learn more about their backstories.
“I want Gregory to just cause even more drama in season 3,” Harris said. “Now that he stopped being Pierre Cadault’s nemesis maybe he can be his ally, creating chaos for Emily. Also I think Gregory needs a boyfriend — there are so many cute boys on the show! If someone that Emily, or anyone else doesn’t want, is around, I feel like Gregory would be a great candidate to scoop them up.”
Since season 1 and 2 dropped in October and December, respectively, it’s most likely that season 3 would also drop in the latter part of 2022.
Only time will tell!
