Julia Roberts arrived at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival dressed to impress in an ensemble well-suited for the glamorous affair. Attending the screening of Armageddon Time, the Pretty Woman actress stepped out in a custom Louis Vuitton black tailored tuxedo jumpsuit, complete with a navy satin lapel and tail, styled by her longtime pro, Elizabeth Stewart.
With her trademark auburn locks voluminously curled, Roberts amped up her look with a Chopard rare yellow diamond weighing in at over 100 carats, surrounded by pear and cushion-shaped diamonds totaling over 54 carats.
Named the Godmother of the Trophée Chopard for this year’s festival, Roberts will be responsible for presenting the award to a male and a female bourgeoning actor.
Hardly the first time the actress has opted for the menswear staple, Roberts has made suiting her signature ever since she took home the 1990 Golden Globes Award Best Supporting Actress trophy for her role in Steel Magnolias in a standout two-piece ensemble.
Sporting a gray Giorgio Armani oversize suit and with purple tie, the menswear moment made waves. She continued her suiting streak the next year wearing a navy pinstripe skirt suit at the 1991 Golden Globes. Comprising of a long-waisted, double-breasted blazer and strong statement shoulder pads, the actress juxtaposed her heavy top with a tiny mini skirt and sheer black tights.
Reviving her penchant for standout suits, Roberts recently appeared in a triad of designer separates throughout the press junket for her new Starz series, Gaslit.
Out and about in Gucci, Moschino and Lafayette 148 New York, the star proved once again, no one can suit up quite like Julia Roberts.
