After a fashion-filled press tour throughout New York City last week, Jennifer Lopez headed back home for the L.A. premiere of her action-packed thriller The Mother — and husband Ben Affleck joined by her side. The actress was all smiles, kissing, embracing and laughing with Affleck on the red carpet.
The multi-hyphenate superstar chose a custom beige Brunello Cucinelli sequin triangle bralette top, matching maxi skirt and a coordinating floor-length blazer jacket. Styled by Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn, Lopez accessorized with dazzling Fernando Jorge jewels and a champagne-colored Tyler Ellis clutch. Affleck opted for a classic black suit sans tie.
Lopez styled her caramel brown strands into a slicked back half-up, half-down ‘do, and sported a dramatic smokey eye for the occasion.
The married couple have a habit of using the red carpet as the most extravagant date nights. Always supporting one another and packing on the PDA, the pair attended the premiere of Affleck’s film Air in late March and the premiere party of Lopez’s film Shotgun Wedding together in January.
In Lopez‘s new Netflix film, she portrays a mother on a mission. The story follows her character, a military-trained assassin, who comes out of hiding to fight to protect the daughter she’s never met from ruthless criminals gunning for revenge.
During an appearance on the Today show last week, Lopez gushed about Affleck parenting skills to the show’s host Hoda Kotb. “He’s a wonderful, wonderful father,” said Lopez. “And a father figure to [Lopez’s children Max and Emme Muñiz] as well, because he has his own three beautiful children [Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel, with whom Affleck shares with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner], and then there’s us.”
Lopez continued, “He’s fantastic. He really steps up to the challenge of what that is and what that means. And they love him. They love him. And they appreciate him and so do I.”
The Mother hits Netflix on May 12.
