Something is definitely in the air at Coachella this year. Between exes Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello reuniting, jilted lovers getting their revenge, and Kendall Jenner supporting her new man, romance is alive and well at the festival. And two single people who might be feeling Cupid’s magic more than anyone? Irina Shayk and Leonardo DiCaprio.
Setting the rumor mill into high gear, the model and actor were initially spotted hitting it off at Levi’s X Don Julio event late Saturday, partying well into the night together.
Though Shayk, 37, and DiCaprio, 48, weren’t photographed sharing any PDA, they were seen again hanging out at Frank Ocean’s set the next evening. The Titanic star kept his usual low profile in a baseball cap and mask, while Shayk was dressed to the nines in multiple Givenchy ensembles.
While the pair would surely know each other given that Shayk’s ex Bradley Cooper and DiCaprio are chummy, the presence of model Stella Maxwell, a longtime friend of both parties, may bring some insight into how they ended up getting close over the weekend.
If rumors of a romance are true, Shayk would become the 10th Victoria’s Secret model to date the actor. But before we get too ahead of ourselves, it should be noted that neither party has confirmed — or even hinted — at a fling.
If the rumors are true, though, it comes as a bit of a shock. After all, it wasn’t too long ago that rumors were swirling of a potential reunion between Shayk and her former flame. Years after their dramatic split, where the model was photographed packing her bags and leaving their home, the co-parents were reportedly trying to reconcile to have another baby.
Having been together for four years before splitting up, Cooper and Shayk were allegedly “trying to get pregnant” again in November 2022, Page Six reported. According to a source, the pair were keen to give their daughter Lea, 6, a sibling, and even went on a family holiday together.
Though a second child never quite came to fruition, the exes remain on good terms and continue to co-parent their daughter.
DiCaprio, on the other hand, avoided his ex-girlfriend Camila Morrone who was also in attendance at the festival. The pair had dated for four years before splitting up last year — notably just after the actress turned 25.
He was briefly linked to 27-year-old Gigi Hadid after the split, but the two have since gone their separate ways.
