Emily Ratajkowski has returned to the runway for fashion week. Tuesday evening, American designer Tory Burch presented her Spring/Summer 2023 collection during New York Fashion Week, at the sprawling Pier 79, overlooking the Hudson River during sunset.
The designer tapped Ratajkowski to take her sheer, body-conscious layered pieces down the runway. The model, actress, and best-selling author sported a two-toned brown and orange color-blocked maxi skirt with a dark long-sleeve sheer mesh top, revealing her silver see-through lace bralette. Ratajkowski slipped into a pair of cream peep-toe sling-back mules and adorned a black patent leather mini square waist bag.
Her ensemble was completed with a pair of shoulder-length large hoop earrings featuring metallic and colorful discs with long, dangling beads. (We’ll be eagerly waiting for those to become available to shop!)
Showcasing her brand new fringe curtain bangs, Ratajkowski’s brunette tresses were thrown back into a low ponytail with her bangs framing her face, while sporting a natural and glowing beauty look.
The model and My Body author took to Instagram to mark the occasion. “Windy sunset with my Tory family,” Ratajkowski wrote. “This was v special 🧡🫶🧡.” Burch commented on the post, “Such a pleasure to work with you as always🧡.”
Embracing the minimalist aesthetic of the 1990s, Burch’s latest assortment saw “an exploration of form” through design with clean silhouettes and weightless fabrications.
“This collection is personal and intuitive, drawing on my memories of the ’90s when I moved to New York,” Burch said in a statement. “I wanted to look at my signatures with a fresh perspective, reflecting what feels modern now.”
With a star-studded audience, A-list friends of the brand flocked to see the show, from brand ambassador Sydney Sweeney, Lana Condor, Chloe Fineman, and Thuso Mbedu, Lauren Santo Domingo, Marianna Hewitt, and more.
