A tiny gasp escaped from me when I watched Emily Ratajkowski attempt to cut her own layers on TikTok. The natural first step to healing from any breakup. Despite the kitchen scissors and chaotic energy it wasn’t all bad and after a few DIY hair makeovers the model has left it to the professionals this time for her biggest transformation yet.
On social media overnight Ratajkowski shared several videos of her new choppy bangs. In a nod to Y2K trends she opted for a subtle righthand part (not quite as polarizing as Megan Fox’s new ‘do) and a curtain-esque finish on both sides.

It’s not the first time the 31-year-old has dabbled in bangs, albeit the faux kind. At the 2022 Cannes Film Festival in May the model walked the red carpet at the premiere of Crimes Of The Future wearing a glittering Miu Miu slip and a clip-in front fringe.
After taking one of many social media hiatuses she returned to Instagram in early January to debut Jane Birkin-esque bangs and shorter hair which we’ve put down to a well-placed wig.
It seems all of our positive manifestation has worked!
Her more permanent look arrives after reports Ratajkowski filed for divorce from her husband of four years Sebastian Bear-McClard with whom she shares a one-year-old son, Sly. The producer is accused of being a “serial cheater” and is now “begging her to give him another chance.” There is also now an unconfirmed rumor that she is secretly dating Brad Pitt.
