Dua Lipa is known for her bold nail art, but her latest look is perhaps our favourite yet. The singer shared some choice snaps of her new nails on her Instagram page, which feel appropriately festive and perfectly timed for the holiday season.
The Cold Heart singer’s talons had been transformed by go-to manicurist Michelle Humphrey with a melting metallic hue, which had been applied to appear as if the lacquer was dripping off Lipa’s nails. The molten manicure presents a clever way to get in on the holiday spirit, without wearing green, red or glitter.
Of course, within days Lipa had changed up her nails again, this time opting for a more subdued design – at least, as subdued as it gets for the stylish star. In her most recent Instagram posts, Lipa is seen wearing a multi-coloured French manicure with tips in alternating bright hues.
The star looks to have been relaxing with friends in the countryside in recent days, amid speculation that her two-year relationship with boyfriend Anwar Hadid has come to an end. While neither star has confirmed the news, recent submissions to Instagram celebrity gossip account @DeuxMoi suggest the pair’s romance is “on the rocks”.
While the couple are usually seen together on their respective social media pages, fans began to question their current status after neither Lipa or Hadid posted about the other for weeks. Anonymous submissions alleged to the account that the pair had sadly parted ways.
Others suggested that it might just be a temporary split for the rumoured on-off couple, but sources are now saying that maintaining a long distance relationship proved to be too much, with Lipa based in London to record her new album and Hadid residing in New York.
Here’s hoping the holidays bring the pair some clarity (or at least a few more chic manicures for Lipa).
