All hail Dua Lipa, the queen of colored eye makeup. The star, who has been on something of a sartorial tour throughout Europe in recent weeks, has also been serving ample beauty inspiration. It seems Lipa’s noughties-inspired aesthetic also translates to her makeup and hair choices, as the Cold Heart singer has recently adopted the classic early 2000s beauty trend of colored eyeshadow.
It began with a wash of icy blue shadow a few weeks ago, as Lipa posed for vacation snaps in a Marshall Columbia co-ordinating set that featured similar sky hues. Despite the striking matte blue shade, the eyes appeared to be otherwise unadorned, with Lipa simply swiping on a few coats of mascara. She kept to the nostalgic theme with glossy lips and a high ponytail that fanned out into four separate plaits.
The next bold eye shade we saw on Lipa was of the hot pink persuasion, which she wore when celebrating her 26th birthday. The bright Barbie-esque hue stood out against her tailored charcoal MAXIMILIAN wrap blazer and matching skirt, which she wore with her long hair in loose waves (and several small plaits throughout, of course).
As with the blue hue, Lipa’s complexion was radiant and bronzed yet natural, but this time there was a little more shimmer applied to the pink eye look for a touch of evening glamour.
Now, in her latest look, Lipa has switched up the blue and pink for what is arguably the hottest hue of the season – a vibrant, acid green. Captured in a field wearing knee-high Dora Teymur black boots and a cow-print Mowalola vest dress, the star appears to have applied a matching shimmery mint eyeshadow across her lids.
With her hair piled into a loose bun at the crown of her head, the rest of Lipa’s fun beauty look was fittingly subdued, given the high voltage ensemble. Soft, matte skin and a nude lip ensured all the focus remained on the Future Nostalgia singer’s frosted eye makeup.
