Devon Lee Carlson x Marc Jacobs

By now, you’ve must have noticed Fashion trends from the 2000s slowly trickling their way back into popular demand. The latest to join the conversation is it-girl and entrepreneur Devon Lee Carlson. The influencer launched a capsule collection with Marc Jacobs lining up perfectly with her 27th birthday on August 3. The capsule collection is full of fun and vibrant Y2K nostalgia that the stylish influencer can’t seem to get enough of in her everyday wardrobe. The partnership with Marc Jacobs follows after she collaborated with the Australian hat brand Lack of Color last month. Naturally, the collection was also Y2K inspired.

Keeping the early aughts trend alive, the seven-piece collection brings back iconic baby tees with matching short shorts and a black slip dress with pastel blue lace and dainty bows. Oh, and it wouldn’t be a collection inspired by 2000’s nostalgia without a diamanté bedazzled T-shirt that reads “MARC” in bubblegum pink. A cropped zip-up hoodie and pants set printed with an adorable image of Devon’s dog Martin screams early 2000’s Paris Hilton.

“Marc is a true fashion icon and inspiration to me. All of the pieces in this collaboration were designed to be worn in any setting, at home with slippers or out on the town with your most fun heels,” Devon said in a statement shared with GRAZIA. “Getting to design this collaboration has been such an honor and a dream that I’m just waiting to wake up from!”

Individual nodes to Carlson’s unique sense of style and creativity continue within the collection’s accessories. Pulling inspo from an archive Marc Jacobs Bag from her own 2000’s wardrobe, she works with the iconic designer to create her own updated version. The rendition Marc Jacobs bag features kitschy letter charms that spell out “Marc Jacobs” and is available in black and hot pink. The shoulder bag comes with a removable chain that doubles as a necklace (we love a dual-purpose moment.)
