Paris Fashion Week has a new breakout fashion icon this season — none other than the superstar singer, Cher. Although “fashion icon” is by no means a new title bestowed upon the legend who has lived up to the moniker for decades, this season, the star is making her mark during Paris Fashion Week from the runway to the front row and everywhere in between — and it’s only day four.

Last night on the outskirts of Paris, creative director Olivier Rousteing of Balmain hosted his third iteration of Balmain Festival at the Jean-Bouin stadium. Following the parade of angelic and intricate silhouettes, Rousteing took his closing bow, but to the crowd’s surprise, Rousteing walked out with a guest — Cher.

The singer looked stunning in a futuristic gray form-fitting jumpsuit as she lip synced to her 1998 disco hit “Strong Enough” while walking hand-in-hand with the designer. I guess we can say the Balmain Army just got a new member. The special surprise caused guests who quickly fled the stadium to beat the crowd of 10,000 spectators to return to the elevated runway to see the spectacular moment.

If it wasn’t enough excitement for Paris Fashion Week, the singer made an appearance one day later at Rick Owens’ Spring-Summer 2023 show. This time, the “Believe” singer took it easy in the front row instead of the runway.

Although not a part of the show, Cher’s street style did bring a show-stopping flair. She was fabulously dressed in a black jacket layered over a white top with a bow at the neck paired with diamond-print black and white jeans. She topped off the look with a rimmed hat with bow detail sporting long blonde hair, a change from her brunette locks just the night before.
