In season 2 of Emily in Paris, Emily Cooper (Lily Collins) switched from one triangle to another! During season 1, Emily realized she had feelings for chef Gabriel (Lucas Bravo), but he was still seeing girlfriend Camille (Camille Razat). However, in the season finale, he decided to stay in Paris, and in the first episode of season 2, he told Emily he has feelings for her.
Eventually, Camille finds out about Emily and Gabriel’s love affair, and it’s safe to say she is less than thrilled. (She tells Emily and Gabriel off during the former’s birthday dinner.)
As a result, Emily moves on with Alfie (Lucien Laviscount), a finance guy from London she meets in her French class. The two hit it off, but he has to go back to the U.K. However, he is willing to give things a shot, but Emily can’t stop thinking about hunky Gabriel.
So, who does Razat think Emily should end up with?
“Well, if I’m talking about Camille the character, of course I will say Alfie because I think he’s genuinely a great guy for her and he has this craziness that maybe Emily needs. But as Camille, myself, I would say she should end up with me,” she quipped to Cosmopolitan.
In all seriousness, Razat hopes that Camille and Emily can mend their friendship and not fight over a man anymore.
“For Emily and Camille to be friends again and try to figure out their relationship,” she said of her hopes for season 3. “I would love to see Camille’s character get more into the business side of it because I think it’s something in season 2 that is very interesting to see this character in a business mode. I would love that.”
The season 2 finale left fans wanting more — Emily runs to Gabriel’s apartment to tell him she has feelings for him, only to find that Camille has moved in. Welp!
“I think she will be so so mad at Emily,” Razat said of if her character knew the truth as to why Emily knocked on his door. “Because they have talked about it. And they have tried to figure it out. And Camille is like, it is a test that I’m giving you, to trust you again. And if she knows that, I think she will completely get mad.”
Team Alfie or Team Gabriel — it’s so hard to choose! Here’s hoping we get some answers ASAP.
