Billie Eilish shared the peek at the top of her large dragon tattoo with her Instagram followers on Thursday. The singer-songwriter posted a video, captioned with the eye roll emoji, of herself rising up from a chair. She wore a graphic tee featuring the cherubs from Raphael’s Sistine Madonna and low-rise jeans with a rainbow canvas carseat buckle belt, harking back to the Y2K “Sk8er Boi” era of Avril Lavigne.
The artist‘s shirt lifted up to show the lower half of the intricate ink that goes from her abdomen, down to her thigh.
She flashed her tattoo for the first time at the 2021 Met Gala. After walking the red carpet in a Marilyn Monroe-inspired Oscar de la Renta cream-colored tulle off-the-shoulder ballgown, Eilish changed into a wine-red Grace Kelly-inspired chiffon dress with a thigh-high slit, that showed the tattoo.
Eilish shared that she had three tattoos back in interview with Vanity Fair in 2021. Along with the dragon, Eilish has fairies on her hand, and her last name on her sternum. “I have three tattoos. I have one here,” she said pointing to her chest. “It says Eilish..yes, I love myself. I have one here, a big boy here, which is a dragon,” she says signaling to her upper thigh. “I just got this a few weeks ago which is some fairies, that are from a book that I had growing up — a little fairy book called Fairyopolis. They’re like my little guardian angel fairies. I love tattoos.”
“I’m not gonna be all tatted up but I have some more ideas. Right now, I feel pretty satisfied,” she said. “I feel in a good zone with them.”
The midriff-baring video comes on the heels of her breakup with The Neighbourhood frontman Jesse Rutherford after seven months of dating. Eilish’s rep confirmed the news of the split to Page Six.
“We can confirm Billie and Jesse did split amicably and remain good friends,” the rep said last week. “All cheating rumors are false. Both are currently single.”
Rutherford, 31, and Eilish, 21, were first photographed holding hands on Halloween in October of 2022. They were most recently seen together at Coachella in mid-April, before Eilish attended the Met Gala with her brother, sans Rutherford.
Looks like Eilish is single just in time for a hot girl summer.
