Billie Eilish is the latest artist to team up with Vevo for a series of intimate and curated videos. The singer kicks off her Official Live Performance series with an acoustic version of, “Your Power,” the first single from her forthcoming sophomore album. Joining Eilish for the performance is her brother and collaborator Finneas, strumming the guitar and contributing lovely harmonies.
The video, which was created in close collaboration with Eilish, finds the duo surrounded by burnt orange velvet curtains in a weird liminal space that brings to mind David Lynch, while also echoing the natural color palate of both the official video for “Your Power,” which Eilish directed herself, and the artwork for her new album, Happier Than Ever.
“Billie is always so involved in the vision of her music videos, and her detailed input is a huge part of what makes these performances special,” Vevo’s SVP of Content, Programming and Marketing JP Evangelista said in a statement. “It’s been such a pleasure watching her blossom into the superstar that she is today, from her first music videos, to very intimate fan shows, Billie is truly one of a kind. The streaming platform’s Official Live Performance series features live musical performances in specially created environments developed in collaboration with the artists themselves. Recently, Ariana Grande’s series took us to an intergalactic garden, while The Weeknd played with perspective in a trippy, strobing cell-like space.
