Fans have been shipping Fezco (Angus Cloud) and Lexi (Maude Apatow) ever since they began speaking at the New Year’s Eve party, which is how season 2 of Euphoria began. Over time, viewers got to see their potential romance blossom, but when Fezco was about to go to Lexi’s play in the season finale, he had a handwritten note in his hand.

However, Fez never made it to the play because a S.W.A.T. team ended up raiding his apartment, so viewers were left wondering: what exactly does the letter say?!

“I think he would’ve thought it was awesome. He would’ve been pretty excited,” he added of Lexi’s play, which ended up causing a fight between Lexi and Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) — and their mom, Suze (Alanna Ubach), even had to intervene. Needless to say, things got uncomfortable.

It’s unclear how season 3 will shake out, but Apatow couldn’t be happier that people are loving Fezco and Lexi’s chemistry.

“It’s so nice to see people like it that much. I can’t even describe how crazy it is to go on Instagram and people have made the most like incredible drawings of us, and these dramatic edits of our love,” Apatow told Entertainment Weekly about her character’s love interest. “It’s so funny. But yeah, it’s a crazy positive reaction. I knew people were gonna like it, because it’s pretty sweet, but I wasn’t expecting this many people to like it. It’s crazy.”

Apatow couldn’t remember how the storyline came to be, but she admitted the two characters are right for each other.

“When [creator] Sam [Levinson] and I were talking about all this stuff, just on the phone kicking around for hours, that came to be. I can’t remember specifically how that went down. Once we started talking about it, it totally made sense. And Angus and I, in real life, have a funny friendship. It all just happened. It all felt right as soon as we started talking about it,” she shared.
