During the season 2 finale of Euphoria, Fezco (Angus Cloud) is seen getting ready for Lexi’s (Maude Apatow) play — and Faye (Chloe Cherry) even helped him out by steaming his shirt and helping him pick out a certain tie.

But viewers were skeptical when her boyfriend, Custer (Tyler Chase), told her that he was going to turn in Fezco and his brother, Ashtray (Javon Walton), for killing Mouse, who was their drug dealer. Some thought Faye would side with her man, but instead, she made sure to keep Ashtray and Fezco safe by blaming Mouse’s death on Laurie (Martha Kelly), another drug dealer.

Instead, Ashtray decided to kill Custer after all, but Fezco said he would take the blame for it and told his brother to leave, but he didn’t listen to the instructions and locked himself in the bathroom with ammo and guns.

As for why Faye decided to stick up for the two siblings, Cloud told Variety, “I don’t think he really thought about it. But at that point, maybe she had just formed, like, a bond that she appreciated. More than what she had with Fester [he means Custer] or whatever.”

The scene was intense, as a S.W.A.T. team raided the house, and one of the gunshots wounded Fezco, who is seen on the floor, begging his brother to stop shooting.

Cloud revealed that he didn’t have much time to prepare for the pivotal scene. “I guess I didn’t because I was just like, I couldn’t have even expected how full-throttle it was gonna be. Some of those guys were like, ex-cops and stuff, so they know what they’re doing,” he said. “We filmed it — I think in three days. Twelve-hour days. So yeah, it took a long time. All the technicality stuff with the bullets.”

“[Fezco] just felt like Ash was so young that he wanted him to still have a chance at living a whole life. They definitely brothers. They raised each other. So it’s like, as close as you can get.”

While it’s unclear if Ashtray is dead or alive, fans are eager for more answers when season 3 returns.
