Despite warning her future lovers that she’ll be “single soon” in her summer breakout single of the same name, Selena Gomez has confirmed that she is currently in a relationship.
The Only Murders In The Building star revealed on Instagram that she is dating after writing “Facts” in the comment section of a celebrity entertainment news account posting a headline reading, “Selena Gomez seemingly confirms she’s in a relationship”.
Gomez’s corroboration comes after the rumours circulated that she was dating music producer, Benny Blanco. Given the timing of the post, many are assuming that the suitor Gomez is in a relationship is indeed the 35-year-old.
Gomez has been candidly sharing updates on her relationship status for years, however, this is the first time the star has been so explicit.
The 31-year-old immediately received an onslaught of hate after going public with her relationship with Blanco. Defending her relationship, Gomez wrote, “He is my absolute everything in my heart”, “The best thing that’s ever happened to me” and “Better than anyone I’ve been with.”
Celebrating the milestone, Gomez also shared a selfie of the newfound couple to her story.
Blanco and Gomez previously worked together on the 2021 single “I Can’t Get Enough” and have remained in each other’s orbit ever since.
Blanco recently posted an obscured photo of someone who looked like Gomez on his Instagram story, writing in the caption that they were his “GF”, or girlfriend. He’s also begun following Gomez’s mother, along with her “throuple” friends, Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz.
The most recent sighting of Blanco and Gomez came from the makeup mogul’s first annual Rare Impact Fund Benefit. Earlier in the year, Gomez was linked to DJ and producer Fred Again.., whose real name is Fred Gibson. She was also reportedly dating Zayn Malik for a few months from March to June.
