Everyone’s favourite crime-solving trio is back for another round of amateur sleuthing in Only Murders in the Building season three. Only this time, Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez), Oliver Putnam (Martin Short) and Charles-Haden Savage (Steve Martin) have their work cut out for them with an A-list ensemble of mysterious new characters.
Season two saw the central puzzle solved before another murderous twist opened the door to a crime outside of the Arconia. As Paul Rudd’s character, Ben Glenroy, drops dead on the floor during the opening night of Putnam’s play, the ‘whodunnit’ plot thickens, and you can bet our trio are on the case.
With filming taking place in New York, paparazzi snaps of the set have left us with many questions. From Gomez running away in a wedding dress and Meryl Streep set to be a new key figure, we’ve been chomping at the bit for what’s in store. And as a new lengthy sneak-peak for season three drops, we’re introduced to a whole new world of murder suspects and compelling twists and turns.
Along with Rudd, the legendary Meryl Streep will join the cast as Loretta Durkin, a bungling theatre actress, Emily in Paris star Ashley Park plays a TikTok star named Kimber, and Grey’s Anatomy‘s Jesse Williams also teases as a possible love interest for Gomez’s Mabel. In mere flashes, we also see Matthew Broderick come into the picture.
Tina Fey returns as true crime podcaster Cinda Canning, and Jane Lynch as Charles’ stunt double Sazz Pataki.
Not only are we in for more murder, but season three will also feature original music by the composers of La La Land, Waitress and Hairspray.
