Nearly one year since Kanye West and Irina Shayk called it quits on their brief relationship it seems there is no bad blood between the pair. Backstage at the Burberry Spring 2023 runway overnight, a video has gone viral of the pair in animated conversation. West looks behind him before embracing the model by the waist for a hug.
“I got you!”, she told the rapper with a laugh as he went to greet other famous faces. In their short couple months of dating, this is the closest thing we’ve gotten to any type of PDA. West and Shayk were then photographed sitting next to each other and on the dance floor at an after party soirée for the fashion house at The Twenty Two.

The guest list also featured Ben Radcliffe, Bella Hadid, Bright, Camila Morrone, Daniel Kaluuya, Edward Enninful, Erykah Badu, Griff, Harry Lawtey, Headie One, Jefferson Hack, Labrinth, Ladyfag, Lara Stone, Lori Harvey, Madeline Brewer, Mahmood, Mariacarla Boscono, Maya Jama, Milly Alcock, Naomi Campbell, Normani, Pa Salieu, Skin, Slim Soledad, Stella Maxwell and Stormzy.
Chief creative director Riccardo Tisci pulled inspiration from the British seaside for his newly-unveiled collection which had been presented earlier in the day. “This season, we explored a new sensuality – a consciousness of the body. I was inspired by the liberation and openness of youth, of people embracing their bodies and revealing them – a pride in themselves, who they are, their identities. Their freedom. This feels modern, this feels right, and this feels Burberry,” he said in the show notes.
As for West and Shayk, the reunion comes after the US-based model sparked reconciliation rumours (again) with her ex husband Bradley Cooper earlier this month. The co-parenting couple were captured on Instagram vacationing in the Bahamas with their 5-year-old daughter, Lea.
West was an unexpected (and welcomed) ray of sunshine at the Burberry event. Late last week the rapper and designer appeared on Good Morning American to publicly apologise to ex-wife Kim Kardashian “for any stress that I have caused”.
