The record-breaking rainfall flooding Los Angeles finally stopped today, just in time for the city to celebrate the Hollywood film industry at the 80th Golden Globe Awards. Comedian Jerrod Carmichael was the host for the night, ushering in the first real Golden Globes ceremony in two years, since the 2021 event was postponed for Covid and NBC pulled the 2022 award show due to the lack of diversity within the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
