Actress Lily Collins is no stranger to a big beauty moment. For starters, she’s the face of French beauty giant Lancôme, not to mention she’s graced many a red carpet over the course of her career. And at the 2021 Golden Globes, what a moment it was. Aside from the dress – a stunning, embroidered one-shoulder Saint Laurent number – Collins’ hair and makeup was beyond.

Artist Fiona Stiles used Lancôme to create a really bold eye, featuring a plummy shade on the upper lid, and a deep emerald hue below. The two blended seamlessly to create a bold but sultry eye framed with lashings of inky black mascara (Lancôme Monsieur Big, if you were wondering).

For hair, stylist Gregory Russell used the Conair Double Ceramic Porcupine Round Brush and GHD Helios Professional Blow Dryer to smooth and add volume, before going in with the Conair Ceramic Porcupine Cushion Brush and the GHD CURVE Classic Curl Iron to create a soft, luxurious curl. Speaking to the inspiration, Celebrity Hairstylist Gregory Russel said, “I wanted her newly chopped hair length to have a voluminous curly texture a la Marisa Berenson to complement her Saint Laurent dress.”

To finish, Russell set each curl with a flat clip, and misted through Purology Texture Finishing Spray and the Pureology Lock It Down Hair Spray.

And because no red carpet (virtual or otherwise) is complete without jewels, Collins wore a gilt golden cuff, rings and ornate gold hoops from Cartier. She may not have taken home a statue, but all that glitters is right here.
