Irina Shayk is one of the most private celebrities in the world, but while the Victoria’s Secret model usually keeps her relationships and dating life under wraps, she’s certainly been linked to some very high-profile names.
“Because my work requires me to be out there, I just decided my personal life will be quiet,” she told Glamour in 2019. “That’s why it’s called personal, because it’s something for you and your family and I feel happy with it.” Still, with several long-term relationships over the years, we have seen Shayk attend red carpet events with boyfriends in the past.
Here, we take a look back at Irina Shayk’s dating history.
Rob Bourdon: 2007 – 2009
The drummer from Linkin Park reportedly dated Shayk for two years, but both stars were extremely private about their relationship, never speaking about it nor confirming it. All we have are reports that they were together for two years, ending things in 2009.
Arthur Sales: February – November 2009
We do love a model couple, and for almost a year Irina Shayk and Brazilian model Arthur Sales granted our wishes, dating from February until November 2009.
Cristiano Ronaldo: 2010 – 2015
Soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo met Irina Shayk when they both starred in an Armani campaign in 2010, and love quickly blossomed.
This was Shayk’s first public relationship – the model shared snaps with Rinaldo on social media and the couple even appeared as cover stars for Vogue Spain, in a seriously steamy shoot by Mario Testino that featured Shayk in a white gown, with Rinaldo standing naked behind her.
Sadly, the couple split up in 2015 amid rumours that Rinaldo had cheated on Shayk – the model was a no-show to her mother-in-law’s 60th birthday party, which fuelled theories that the split was far from amicable.
Bradley Cooper: 2015 – 2019
Following her split from Rinaldo, Shayk met and began dating actor Bradley Cooper. Cooper had also recently gone through a break up (from Suki Waterhouse), and the new couple were first seen in April 2015 on a date in New York, before making things official at the L’Oréal Red Obsession party during Paris Fashion Week, where they made a red carpet appearance.
Cooper and Shayk share a daughter together, Lea de Seine Shayk Cooper, born March 2017. However, their family bliss was short-lived – the couple began to drift apart in 2018, with rumours suggesting the intense campaigning from Cooper for A Star is Born contributed. Page Six also reported that “after the lust wore off, they had very little in common.”
In 2019 they officially broke up. Shayk told British Vogue later that year, “Life after Bradley is definitely reflective, and I think in all good relationships you bring your best and your worst – it’s just the nature of a human being. Two great people don’t have to make a good couple. I think we’ve been very lucky to experience what we had with each other. Life without B is new ground.”
While they may no longer be together, the couple remained on great terms as co-parents, even going on family holidays. In fact, rumours flew up until 2022 that the couple may be reconciling, with reports that they may have been trying for a second child. However, those rumours were quickly shut down.
Vito Schnabel: 2020
In March 2020, right before COVID-19 lockdowns began, Irina Shayk was seen out in New York with art dealer Vito Schnabel. “Vito has always been interested in Irina,” a source told Us Weekly, “Vito is a very social person who likes to go out and have fun.”
Schnabel was previously in a high-profile relationship with Heidi Klum, which is why you may recognise the name.
Things didn’t seem to get serious however, and the couple may never have even been dating – according to the source, they had been friends for years.
Kanye West: June – August 2021
After his split from Kim Kardashian, Kanye West was briefly linked to Irina Shayk. “Irina and Kanye have been spending time together and getting to know one another,” a source told Us Weekly at the time. “He’s always thought she was beautiful and they’re both looking forward to seeing where this goes.”
However, the romance was short-lived, lasting just a couple of months.
Leonardo DiCaprio: 2023
Leonardo DiCaprio has a lengthy history of dating models, and specifically Victoria’s Secret models – so the news that the actor was rumoured to be seeing Shayk wasn’t entirely a shock.
The stars were seen spending time together at Coachella, attending the Levi’s x Don Julio Neon Carnival. It’s worth noting, however, that model Stella Maxwell was also spending time with the pair – and is a close friend of both stars. Still, they were then seen spending time together watching Frank Ocean’s set, so it could be more than just friends.
Tom Brady: 2023
In July 2023, Shayk was spotted leaving Tom Brady’s house, and then again cuddled up in a car. More to come.
