This week, Bulgari celebrated the opening of its newest hotel in Rome in the brand’s signature style — with a huge celeb-filled bash. Bulgari ambassadors Zendaya and Priyanka Chopra Jonas were on-hand to toast the new property and they both dazzled with their looks.
Zendaya arrived with her new balayage bob in a sparkling Valentino Haute Couture black slouchy suit with all-over glitter accents. She teamed it with a mesh see-through tank and piled on the jewels with statement dangling earrings, diamond rings and a Serpenti watch.
One would assume the expertly-styled outfit was planned well in advance, but it turns out, Zendaya was supposed to wear something completely different. The star shared a close-up of her look on Instagram Stories with the caption, ““Fun fact… my dress for tonight’s @bulgarihotels event got lost in transit, so we got this suit an hour before the event. When it doubt… a @maisonvalentino suit :).”
She also tagged her right-hand man, image architect Law Roach. Despite shocking the fashion industry when he announced his retirement, he assured fans he’d still be working with Zendaya.
Chopra Jonas also made a memorable appearance at the event with her plunging white gown with feathery sleeves, thigh-high slit and long train. The deep V-neck expertly showed off her jaw-dropping emerald Bulgari necklace from the Monete collection. The Augustus Emerald Monete Sautoir necklace boasts over 600 carats of emerald beads and the pendant features a bronze Roman coin from 14-37 A.D. with the profile of emperor Tiberius Augustus.
She brought a playful twist to her beauty look rocking two high pigtail and a bold red lip.
Bulgari gathered 600 guests for the bash, which had live music and dance, a drone show, and of course, there was some jewelry was on display too. Guests could view an exhibition of vintage Bulgari pieces including a necklace in platinum with emeralds and diamonds from 1962 that belonged to none other than Elizabeth Taylor.
The new Rome opening is the ninth hotel for the brand, and during the party, guests were able to check out special parts of the property, like the Bulgari Suite, the Spa and the iconic Bulgari Bar and La Terrazza with views that overlook the city.
