Every few years a new young fashion supreme comes along and we become smitten. See Zendaya, Harry Styles, Elle Fanning, and Kaia Gerber as proof. Right now we have our eye on the emergence of the next young fashion supreme: Miss Zaya Wade. She’s up next and you heard it here first.  And it only makes sense when you consider that Zaya is Dwayne Wade and Gabrielle Union‘s daughter. Of course she has great style — look at the material. Her father is often included in every best dressed athlete list and her stepmom Gabrielle is known for serving look, as well as her timeless beauty. Renowned fashion stylist, Jason Bolden — whose clients include Cynthia Erivo, Janet Mock and Yara Shahidi — is Zaya’s godfather as well so it was practically written in the stars for her to become a breakout fashion icon.

But don’t just take our word for it, let’s look at the facts, listed below for your convenience.

Exhibit A:

Rocking Prada — you know by the Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons — at 14, this is just a serve! Mrs. Prada is known for her intellectual design aesthetic. It’s not for everyone but the true fashion girls get it and the fact that Zaya Wade gets it, is, honestly, chef’s kiss.

Exhibit B:

That one time she interviewed our forever First Lady Michelle Obama — that alone is giving icon status — wearing a Burberry dress, gifted by Riccardo Tisci himself. Yeah, give my girl her things!

Exhibit c:

Then there’s this monogrammed Louis Vuitton skate dress from the Spring/Summer 2021 collection she wore to celebrate her 14th birthday. She’s also carrying a bag by emerging Black owned brand, Asata Maisé see, already exhibiting fashion icon behavior by supporting emerging POC brands.

Exhibit D:

Zaya and her team — yes, at 14 she has a team — keep our girl decked out in an array of designers. Here she is giving us a little Gucci moment in this green wool short-suit set on a sunny LA spring day— proving she’s always ready to commit to serving a look regardless of the weather.

Exhibit E:

Wearing a full Rosie Assoulin look — we said full — and a Jenny Walton multi-color daisy necklace, Zaya at this point is a chameleon who can rock all styles, all silhouettes, basically anything.

And with that friends, we rest our case. It’s very clear to see Wade is a fashion icon in the making and we look forward to seeing her style evolution. She’s definitely one to watch.
