The ilk of sartorial adherents who worship Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s anything-but-austere decisively minimal label, The Row, must be relishing in the overabundance of ‘stealth wealth’ styles saturating the streets.

But for these sartorial disciples—who needn’t proof that The Row’s dextrously tailored wardrobe fundamentals are the zenith of the quiet luxury movement—it’s the label’s bi-annual Paris Fashion Week collection presentations that serve as the pinnacle of the refined aesthetics.

With the happenings inside The Row’s salon privé gate kept for fashion’s upper echelon, it’s the rare sightings of the Olsen twins’ attendees that prove to be the sartorial highlight. Indeed, the most important row at fashion week is the front row at The Row. The Front Row, if you will.

This season, a collection of Californian cool girls flocked from sunny Los Angeles to the French capital to preview the new season offerings they’ll soon be shopping at the label’s balmy Melrose Place boutique.

Serving as the acme of the chic understated aesthetic The Row has become synonymous with, the likes of Pamela Anderson, Kaia Gerber and Kendall Jenner paraded through Paris as the epitome of modern classics.

For 56-year-old Anderson, the actress and author remained firm in her resolve to eschew her lurid 90s wardrobe of yore by looking to a slightly slouchy pinstripe suit. A Saville Row staple, of course.

The look featured a trompe l’oeil styling trick, with Anderson sporting two layers of double-breasted oversized blazers: one buttoned up, and the other left open with the collar of her crisp white button-up peering out from underneath.

Gerber also followed suit in her variation of the androgynous silhouette.

The 22-year-old supermodel and bourgeoning actress sported a muted grey single-breasted suit, pairing the look with a black worker shirt featuring a protruding collar.

However, it was Jenner who best exemplified The Row’s deft ability to contextualise tailored staples for a contemporary audience.

The supermodel continued her trench-coat reign (which began in Milan at Sebato De Sarno’s debut show for Gucci) in a cropped military-style top and sleek pencil skirt.

By the looks of it, it appears that Jenner (or perhaps her stylist) just slashed The Row’s button-shoulder tabbed June Coat, fashioning the top half of the trench into a long sleeve.

It’s clear that when it comes to front row fashion, The Row clearly has a monopoly.
