Brace yourselves, royal fanatics: the sixth and final season (part one) of The Crown is finally here, and let me tell you, it’s hitting the mark.

The first four episodes take us deep into the royal family’s struggle to juggle personal agendas with their public duties, all while dealing with the aftermath of Princess Diana’s tragic end.

From the get-go, you can feel the emotions building up. Picture this: cars zooming through Paris streets inevitably leading to the devastating crash that shook the world. And that’s just the beginning of the rollercoaster we’re in for.

As the season rolls on, we get a front-row seat to Diana’s evolving romantic relationship with Dodi Fayed, the son of billionaire Mohamed Al-Fayed. Elizabeth Debicki absolutely nails it as Diana, bringing out her charm, vulnerability, and mixed feelings about her new love interest.

The Crown has always had a knack for mixing fact and fiction, and this season is no different. It blurs the lines between what really happened and some creative twists, making it a bit tricky to separate the two. But you know what? That’s what makes The Crown so darn good — it goes beyond the history books to dive into the real feels of each of its characters.

Take, for instance, the scene where Dodi pops the question to Diana on their last day. Now, we can’t say for sure if that happened, but man, does it feel real and hit you right in the gut.

And let’s not forget the family drama over Diana’s funeral. Dominic West, playing Prince Charles, gives us a real show as he pushes the Queen to show some public grief and compassion.

Some critics might say it’s a bit over-the-top or not totally respectful, but what can’t be argued is that tension in the royal family about how to handle Diana’s death was real. As the public wanted a shared mourning, the royal family had to figure out how to make that happen.

All in all, the first four episodes of The Crown Season 6 Part 1 are a must-watch for die-hard fans and anyone curious about Princess Diana’s life. It’s a ride of emotions, leaving us hungry for what’s coming in the final six episodes. Trust us when we say, you won’t want to miss this.

Season 6 Part 2 of The Crown will be released on Netflix on December 14.
