Teyana Taylor loves a long shower. Like, loves a long shower. As a mom whose kids with husband, Brooklyn Nets shooting guard, Iman Shumpert (5-year-old Iman Tayla Shumpert Jr, AKA ‘Junie,’ and 6-month-old Rue Rose Shumpert), keep her super active, she uses her time in the bathroom to perform her self-care. “I like to take care of everything while I’m in the shower,” Taylor told GRAZIA. The multi-hyphenate went on to describe her hour-long process in the shower: “I want to get my face and body washed and scrubbed. Do what I need to do for my hair, my moisturizing, my shaving, whatever it is that will make me feel cute when I get out and get back to those kids.” A huge part of what helps Taylor feel cute is Olay’s range of body products.
“When I had Junie, trying to get out the shower and lotion was always an epic fail,” Taylor said. “I was like ‘okay, I have to do this another way.’ While she prefers to lotion herself in the shower, all in-shower lotions were not created equally. Taylor said some products are too watery causing your skin to dry up, so Olay’s version is a god-send. “I’m literally out of the shower and I’m ready to go at it with these kids but I feel beautiful and soft. Everything feels good. As a mom, for my self-care, I try to keep it all in the shower.”
The 30-year-old star teamed up with Olay Body to promote their new nighttime body care products, the Cleansing & Renewing Body Wash and Rinse-Off Body Conditioner with Retinol. It’s been Taylor’s dream to work with Olay since she was younger. “I’ve always wanted to be the girl in the Olay commercial,” she said of the partnership. “This is like a full circle moment for me, honestly.” Taylor emphasized just how much she’s loved Olay products and told GRAZIA: “Anytime Olay Body drops anything new, I’m already at CVS trying to be the first person to get it.” Right now, though, Taylor is a huge fan of Olay’s cleansing and renewing nighttime body wash. The product is good on its own but Taylor said the key to super soft skin is to top it off with the Nighttime Rinse Off Body Conditioner. “Oh my god, have you ever washed your hair in the shower and then conditioned it, and your hair is just so soft after? It’s like that for the body.”
