Selena Gomez has been hitting the road promoting her cosmetics line Rare Beauty, traveling through London, Milan, Paris, and Santa Monica, in partnership with the retailer Sephora, to celebrate the launch of her new Kind Words lipsticks. Through it all, she’s been serving a serious dose of flirty fashion with a retro twist.
Last week, Gomez announced the release of her new matte lipsticks and lip liners on Instagram writing, “My Rare Beauty Kind Words Matte Lipstick and Lip Liner are finally here! I wanted to create a classic lip collection for every day – think comfortable, easy, long-wearing and nourishing.”
Adding, “My Kind Words Matte Lipstick has a flexible formula that moves with your lips while giving you weightless, one swipe color that lasts all day. Available in the same 10 made-to-match shades as the Kind Words Matte Lip Liner. I’m really excited for you guys to try this one!”
To celebrate the launch (the new products are currently available globally online and in-stores at Sephoras and Space NK locations), Gomez has made her press tour one to watch in the fashion department.
She stepped out on Tuesday in a lemon yellow scoop-neck long-sleeve mini dress at Space NK Kings Cross in London, with embellished transparent PVC point-toe pumps and Jennifer Fisher gold Baby Kevin hoops. The Only Murders in the Building actress donned a voluminous half-up half-down ‘do to add a retro touch to her look.
Making a chic visit to Rare Beauty’s Italian factory, Gomez fittingly wore the Italian designer, Prada, in a green button-down shirt, a pleated maroon and rust striped miniskirt, and silver metallic slingback flats with Jennifer Fisher jewelry, styled by Kate Young.
Afterwards, the star posted a video to her TikTok showing fans how her products are made inside the factory. Wearing a white lab coat with her name embroidered on the front, Gomez tries to bottle a few of the brand’s Positive Light Tinted Moisturizer, but in a highly relatable moment, spills a bit before she’s assisted by a member of the team.
Gomez stepped into a crowd of fans before visiting a Sephora location in Paris for the Sephora Loves Rare Beauty event and panel. Sporting a jacquard houndstooth black and white two-piece set by Alaïa, Gomez’s ensemble included a short-sleeve crop top and a matching mini skirt.
Carrying the brand’s black heart-shaped Le Cour handbag, Gomez slipped into a pair of white pointy-toe Stuart Weitzman pumps, wore hoop earrings from Messika jewelry and sported another retro-inspired hairstyle courtesy of Orlando Pita, featuring a slicked-down side part with ample volume bringing her latest looks full circle.
She kicked everything off in June, at a promotional event at the Santa Monica Proper Hotel, wearing something on the sexier side, in a black Alexander McQueen blazer dress with an asymmetrical sheer lace panel skirt, plus Monica Vinader hoop earrings and black strappy sandals.
