Although Los Angeles has reopened its gyms, it seems Selena Gomez has decided – like many of us did post-lockdown – that she prefers the privacy of her own home gym to crowded boutique fitness studios. The singer recently shared her workout routine on her TikTok account, and it looks like she has zero trouble working up a sweat outside of the gym.

And sure, Gomez has a personal trainer – and her home gym looks a lot fancier than my worn-out yoga mat does while crammed between my wall and coffee table – as some cities continue to grapple with the pandemic, it’s comforting to remember that all you really need to move is your body and a little motivation.

In the high energy video, Gomez can be seen squatting, pressing and donkey kicking her way through a workout with a friend. While the star has made no secret of the fact that she isn’t the biggest fan of fitness, her happy (albeit exhausted) expression post-workout indicates that she does enjoy those post-workout endorphins.

In the video, Gomez keeps the equipment basic, with a few light dumbbells, some chic Bala Bangles hand and ankle weights ($75), a medicine ball and some workout bands, all of which are easily acquired for a killer at-home sweat session. While Gomez’s session is seemingly lead by a personal trainer – likely her longtime fitness go-to, Amy Rosoff Davis – there’s absolutely no reason you can’t follow along at home.

Or you could always follow Gomez’s lead and try out one of the millions of free workouts available online. “I don’t love working out, but I find myself going on YouTube and doing workout videos,” she revealed in an interview recently. “Anything from old-school workout videos to more current ones.”
