When it comes to tapping impressive wardrobes for a good cause, Sarah Jessica Parker’s is the best place to start. The Sex and the City icon has teamed up with fashion house Oscar de la Renta to auction off the custom cocktail dress that she wore to the And Just Like That season 1 premiere.

All proceeds from the auction, which began Tuesday and will be open until March 31 at 9 p.m. ET, will benefit UNICEF and is taking place on Oscar de la Renta’s re-sale platform Encore.

The brand promoted the auction on Instagram with a behind-the-scenes video of the making of the dress, and included a statement from Parker.

“It was a privilege to wear this dress to the And Just Like That premiere last December, and I’m humbled and honored to partner with my friends at Oscar de la Renta to now auction it off via Encore,” Parker said. “All proceeds of the sale will be donated to UNICEF, an organization I feel called to support now more than ever given current geopolitical conflicts and the immediate and growing threats posed to so many innocent children.”

The star went on to express that it “feels meaningful to bid adieu to the dress this way, and I look forward to seeing what closet she calls home next.”

The custom confection, designed by Oscar de la Renta‘s co-creative directors Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia, features a sweetheart-style neckline and an A-line full skirt with magnolia embroidery and blush tulle underskirt (which evokes nods to Carrie Bradshaw’s famous tutu from the show’s opening credits).

On Thursday, Gracia will be joining And Just Like That’s costume designers, Molly Rogers and Danny Santiago, for an Instagram Live at 7 p.m. EST, right before the auction ends. According to Rogers and Santiago’s Instagram account (@andjustlikethatcostume), the trio will be discussing the most “iconic ODLR dresses, NYC, weddings & the Oscars.”

With AJLT green-lit for season 2, we hope they drop some hints that more custom Oscar de la Renta moments are in store.
