RIMBAUD

Hedi Slimane first extended the Celine name into fragrance back in 2019. The Haute Parfumerie collection, which now rounds out at ten fragrances, with its latest debut, “Rimbaud,” all hold something unique and personal to the creative director. The new scent joins the range, which includes favorites “Nightclubbing” and “Dans Paris” born of the idea of paradox and duality.

The results? A timeless fragrance that is equally able to be worn day or night and makes no distinction between masculinity and feminity. Inspired by a portrait of French poet Arthur Rimbaud at 17 years old (hence the name), Slimane furthers his exploration into the essence of youth and how that transcends for the modern period. Slimane’s contrast lavender, typically used in men’s scents and iris, is usually found in more feminine powdery scents. Notes of neroli, orris butter, wheat accord, must, and vanilla follow to create a distinct olfactory experience.

The fragrance is the first launched after BLACKPINK member Lisa was named the global ambassador of CELINE Haute Parfumerie last month following her debut in the Celine Spring-Summer 2022 runway. The title is somewhat of a promotion as the Kpop rapper has held the title of global ambassador and muse for the luxury Maison’s ready-to-wear and accessories collection for over a year.

When it comes to perfumes, there’s only one way of knowing it’s the one for you, and that’s by trying it out. The new “Rimbaud” fragrance, along with the other nine of the Haute Parfumerie collection, is available now on celine.com
