Rihanna certainly knows how to embrace her baby bump with her show-stopping fashions. But now, the mom (who’s pregnant with baby number two) shared a series of sultry throwback photos on Instagram to reminisce about her first pregnancy with her 1-year-old son RZA Athelston Mayers.

Baring it all, Rihanna posed in the glamorous maternity shoot outside on a seaside balcony surrounded by palm trees. The Grammy-winner wore nothing but a bedazzled body chain draped over her chest, with glittering metallic fringe dangling over her baby bump, teamed with a tiny black G-string and snakeskin pumps with crystal ankle straps. Rihanna piled on more dazzling accessorizes, including silver hoop earrings, diamond and gold bracelets, an assortment of gold rings and layered anklets.

In some snaps, Rihanna removed the body chain to cup her chest in her manicured hands. “Here’s a little series I call ‘Rub on ya titties,’” Rihanna captioned the post. “In honor of my first pregnancy, embracing motherhood like a g, and the magic that this body made! Baby RZA… he in there not having a clue how nuts his mama is, or how obsessed he was bout to make me #maternityshoot2022 #tobecontinued.”

Ever since Rihanna announced her first pregnancy with longtime partner A$AP Rocky in January 2022, sporting a pink unbuttoned Chanel quilted coat, the singer’s subsequent fashion moments have all revolved around baring her baby bump.

Rihanna announced her second pregnancy is show-stopping style during her Super Bowl halftime performance in February 2023 wearing a fire-engine red ensemble by Alaïa and later, a red bespoke breastplate and matching boiler suit by Loewe.

Since the announcement, Rihanna has continued to break boundaries with her pregnancy looks. She walked the 2023 Oscars red carpet in a sheer custom bodycon Alaïa gown and performed in a custom sheer black embellished ensemble from Maison Margiela’s Artisanal line.

The star attended the 2023 Met Gala in a custom white Valentino figure-hugging gown complete with a dramatic train and a gigantic flower-covered coat. Following the event, the singer changed into an afterparty look, consisting of a cropped jacket to show off her pregnant stomach and a low-rise skirt by Chrome Hearts, both of which were embellished with crosses.

Spearheading a new way to think about maternity style, the FENTY Beauty mogul told Vogue, “I’m hoping that we were able to redefine what’s considered ‘decent’ for pregnant women,” she said. “My body is doing incredible things right now, and I’m not going to be ashamed of that. This time should feel celebratory. Because why should you be hiding your pregnancy?”
