Rihanna is set to make her triumphant return to the stage at the 2023 Super Bowl LVII, in Glendale, Arizona on Feb.12, 2023, and ahead of her highly-anticipated halftime performance, Rihanna just dropped a limited-edition Savage X Fenty Game Day collection, filled with football-themed styles.
The 17-piece assortment is filled to the brim with playful and sporty hoodies, sweatpants, varsity jerseys, tops, beanies, LVII Savage X Fenty baseball caps, boxers with a football motif, a bandana and a white T-shirt that hysterically reads, “Rihanna concert interrupted by a football game—weird but whatever.”
For the accompanying campaign, Rihanna adorns the LVII Two-Tone Jersey, sheer black mesh opera gloves, Black Caviar Sweatpants and a Cookie Brown Beanie.
The lingerie line is also launching a three-day retail pop-up experience in L.A. from Jan. 27-29 in celebration of the Game Day collection. The turf-lined storefront will feature football-themed mannequins and goal posts as clothing racks, fun photo opts and branded giveaways.
Rihanna announced that she would be headlining the upcoming Super Bowl Halftime show on social media in September when she posted an image of her tattooed hand holding up a football. Fans are hoping that her return to the stage may mean new music is also coming. She follows the likes of The Weeknd, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez and Beyoncé who have performed in the past. Rihanna’s last album ANTI was released in 2016.
