Rihanna is set to make her triumphant return to the stage at the 2023 Super Bowl LVII, in Glendale, Arizona on Feb.12 and ahead of her highly-anticipated halftime performance, the singer and Apple Music just dropped a stylish new teaser.

It opens with Rihanna strutting down a catwalk and into the spotlight wearing a black catsuit and a neon yellow fluffy AREA coat from the Fall/Winter 2022 collection.

The ANTI artist adorned layered silver cross necklaces, large shimmering triple-hoop earrings and an assortment of rings. Her tower of sculptural braids stole the show, along with her statement-making glam, comprised of aqua eyeshadow, rose cheeks and a glossed pink lip.

A compilation of voices plays in the background, all anxiously awaiting new music from the star. “It’s been 2,190 days,” says one voice, while another says, “Rihanna, we’ve waited for you.” A different voice reports, “It’s been six years since the nine-time GRAMMY winner dropped her last album…” while another asks, “RiRi, where have you been?” Silencing the fanfare, Rihanna walks up to the camera, putting her index finger up to her lips to shush the noise, as her song “Needed Me” kicks on.

Rihanna shared the video with her 139 million Instagram followers with the caption, “🤫 #SBLVII #AppleMusicHalftime.”

Rihanna announced that she would be headlining the upcoming Super Bowl Halftime show on social media in September when she posted an image of her tattooed hand holding up a football.

The musician recently dropped a football-themed limited-edition Game Day collection for her label Savage X Fenty, in honor of her Super Bowl appearance.

Rihanna has also been working with director Peter Berg and Amazon Studios for over six years on a documentary to coincide with the Super Bowl performance.

Last week, Berg told The Hollywood Reporter that they are just, “waiting on her [Rihanna] to approve it.” He said, “It’s done and sold, and Amazon’s ready. She’s a perfectionist, so we keep adding. It’s been six and a half years of filming, so, yeah, it’s ready to come out. We’re just waiting on her to say, ‘Yeah, let’s do it.’ I don’t know. Maybe it’ll be a 10-year project.”

Fans are hoping that her return to the stage may mean new music is also coming. She follows the likes of The Weeknd, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez and Beyoncé who have performed in the past. Rihanna’s last album ANTI was released in 2016.
