Prince Harry is back across the pond! The royal is in London for the first time since he attended the funeral of his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II in September and made an unexpected appearance at High Court on Monday. He’s participating in legal proceedings against Associated Newspapers Ltd (ANL) on the first day of the hearing.

Last year, Prince Harry and other A-list figures including Elizabeth Hurley, Elton John, Jude Law‘s ex-wife Sadie Frost and more took legal action against the Associated Press, and sued the publisher of the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday, for publishing illegally obtained information.

In their 2022 documentary Harry & Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex detailed Markle’s 2021 legal victory for copyright infringement against the Associated Newspapers for articles published in The Mail on Sunday and posted on Mail Online.

Despite being back in his hometown, he’s not going to be seeing his father King Charles III or his brother Prince William during his time in the U.K.

According to People, Prince Harry made the royal family aware of his visit ahead of his travels, but his father and brother will likely be out of town. King Charles was set to be in France this week for his first overseas tour as King but postponed the trip due to the increasingly dangerous protests taking place across the nation. King Charles and Queen Camilla will proceed with their plans to travel to Germany and will arrive for their tour on Wednesday.

Prince William and Kate Middleton are taking time away from their Windsor residence while their children Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4, are on a school break.

It remains unclear where Prince Harry will be staying since he and Meghan Markle were evicted from his U.K. residence Frogmore Cottage, or if he will be making a return in May for King Charles’ coronation.

According to the PeopleKing Charles is anxious for tension in the family to “calm down” before his ascension to the throne. A source close to the royals said, “It is such a momentous occasion for Charles, and he would want his son to be at the coronation to witness it. He would like to have Harry back in the family. If they don’t sort it out, it will always be part of the King’s reign and how he has left his family disjointed. He has had a reputation as a distant parent, and it would be awful for him for that to continue.”

During the promotional tour for his new tell-all memoir Spare, Prince Harry sat down with ITV News’ Tom Bradby for the feature, Harry: The Interview. The Duke explained, “It never needed to be this way.”

“I want a family. Not an institution,” said Prince Harry. “They feel as though it’s better to keep us, somehow, as the villains,” referring to the royal family. He added, “They’ve shown absolutely no willingness to reconcile.”

The Duke spoke about his relationship with his father, King Charles III, and his brother, William, the Prince of Wales. “I would like to get my father back,” Prince Harry said. “I would like to have my brother back.”
