Last week, we brought you the truly shocking beauty news that Kylie Jenner had turned peroxide blonde overnight (along with former natural brunettes Emily Ratajkowski and Kaia Gerber).
Now while she’s no stranger to a hair transformation (she’s been pale pink, hot pink, rose gold, dip-dyed neon, jungle green, even lilac at last year’s Met Gala), we were actually surprised, more so because of the sheer task at hand: a dye job so dramatic typically takes a lot of time and effort. But alas, when you’re a Jenner or a Kardashian, the impossible becomes a reality – and seemingly overnight.
A couple of days ago, another hair color evolved. Kylie Jenner transformed her bleached blonde hair to a creamy, dreamy shade of pale pink. It was delicious. Shiny yet subtle, pink but not too pink, the color was clearly a rinse, and is actually very easy to do when you have a bleached base to start with. But, the bubblegum strands were short-lived.
Today, another chapter in the week-long saga of Kylie Jenner’s changing hair color: she’s now a brunette. Posting a photo in a corset that bears an uncanny resemblance to sister Kim Kardashian’s (the one that shocked the world last week), Jenner’s new ‘do is chocolatey brown and very lush indeed. Unlike her previous brown, which was cooler in color and flooded with highlights, the new-era brown is rich and auburn in tone, even throwing a touch of red.
Clearly a chameleon when it comes to hair, we think we may know which shade is her favorite. She captioned her pink-tinted photo with this: “can you guess my favorite color?”
So while blondes may have more fun, brunettes might do it better, it’s pink ladies for the win here. And remember, should you wish to have a little fun with hair color at home, make sure you have your Olaplex handy.
