It seems Hollywood has turned blonde overnight. Heeding the advice of Hollywood siren Marilyn Monroe (who starred in the 1953 classic Gentlemen Prefer Blondes), Emily Ratajkowski, Kaia Gerber and Kylie Jenner have all gone blonde.
Ratajkowski and Gerber’s transformations were the more shocking of the two, both natural brunettes and always raven-haired, their dye jobs were indeed dramatic (of course, Jenner is also a natural brunette but is very partial to a hair change).

Not one to miss a beauty party, Kylie Jenner also went peroxide blonde overnight, debuting her freshly dyed hair on Instagram this morning. Simply entitled, “last night”, it seemed she had a beauty sleepover with her longtime makeup artist Ariel and hairstylist Tokyo Stylez, who were responsible for the glow-up. Playing with a Kylie Cosmetics palette on her Instagram story, the makeup mogul kept the rest of her beauty look simple and smokey; a subtly smoked winged eye, manicured brows and of course, over-lined nude lips (a Jenner staple).
She wore Gucci’s sheer, diamanté-flecked bralette (and we assume matching panties), and looked into the camera longingly. To show off her very, very freshly dyed roots, hair was blow-dried dead straight and parted down the middle.
But when transitioning from brunette to blonde, time and patience are key advises Sydney’s premier hair colourist, Monique McMahon of QUE Colour. A dramatic dye job should be taken in stages to avoid breakage and limit shock to the hair follicle. But, when you’re a Jenner (or a Kardashian, for that matter), obviously hair rules go out the window, such is your power and wealth to remedy any would-be beauty disaster (and seemingly make hair magic happen overnight).
No stranger to a hair transformation (there’s been pale pink, hot pink, rose gold, dip-dyed neon, even lilac at last year’s Met Gala), Kylie Jenner’s new blonde ‘do isn’t the biggest surprise but it will no doubt get everyone talking – us included.
