According to new court documents obtained by the Daily Mail, Ted Lasso star Jason Sudeikis has agreed to pay Don’t Worry, Darling director and ex-partner Olivia Wilde USD $27,500 (AUD $42,845) in monthly child support for their two children Otis, 9, and Daisy, 6.
The former couple have also agreed to share custody of the children on a “week-on, week-off” basis. Broken down further, the report says the monthly payments will be split with USD $10,300 (AUD $16,047) going to their son, and USD $17,200 (AUD $26,797) going to their daughter. Sudeikis, 48, will also have to pay Wilde, 39, 25 percent of childcare expenses.
The agreement was reportedly reached based on both parties’ respective estimated 2023 incomes. Sudeikis sits are USD $10.5 million (AUD $16.3 million) while Wilde sits at USD $500,000 (AUD $779,000).
The court battle has been going on for 18 months with its peak hitting in April 2022 when Wilde was infamously served legal papers as she was presenting on stage at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. She handled it with great dignity and professionalism, but it was this moment that allegedly tipped off the ugly public court battle despite Sudeikis’ insistence he had no knowledge of the time or place the papers would be served to his ex-partner. Prior to this event, it was believed the relationship between the pair was amicable.
Not long afterwards, Wilde’s earnings and expenses were made public, to her outrage. Then, a former nanny to the couple gave an explosive interview where she detailed how Sudeikis had found out about Wilde’s relationship with Harry Styles via messages on an old Apple Watch (Sudeikis and Wilde were still together at the time). While both parties claimed the recount to be false, it was the birth of Wilde’s famous salad dressing recipe—something she reportedly made for Styles.
Sudeikis and Wilde split in November 2020. They were together nine years and engaged for nearly seven of those years.
