Olivia Rodrigo knows how to make a vintage design all her own on the carpet. She arrived on Sunday to the MTV Movie & TV Awards in a vintage Jean Paul Gaultier black corset dress, with a hairstyle that screams “Y2K is back.”

The archival midi dress features a crisscross halter neckline and cone bra corset, which was styled by Chloe and Chenelle Delgadillo and sourced from the vintage retail platform, Opulent Addict.

The Sour artist accessorized her ensemble with Outhouse Jewelry’s OH Celeste Nova drop earrings, stacked rings, and black strappy sandals. She styled her brunette locks into two spiked space buns with a zig-zag part to fully capture the early aughts look.

The 19-year-old singer brought home the award for Best Music Documentary for the Stacey Lee-directed film, Driving Home 2 U, released in March. It chronicles a road trip from Salt Lake City to Los Angeles, and provides a behind-the-scenes look at Rodrigo’s creative process behind her debut album.

Up against films like The Beatles: Get Back, JANET JACKSON, Oasis Knebworth 1996, and jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy, Rodrigo held her own against some fierce competition.

Accepting the award, the “Driver’s License” singer said, “This album means so much to me and it was so fun to get to make a film that gave it more context and meaning. Really, I made Driving Home 2 U for my fans, especially those who couldn’t come see me on tour.” Rodrigo went on to say, “I wouldn’t be here without you guys. The love you guys have shown to me is so unbelievably meaningful and life changing. This is for you.”

Demonstrating a strong influence towards early-aughts fashion, Rodrigo has sported vintage looks from Betsey Johnson, Chanel, Versace, and even a Roberto Cavalli Spring/Summer 2003 chiffon corset dress once worn by Britney Spears nearly a decade earlier.
