There’s nothing like opening a pretty blue box. While it’s typically synonymous with dazzling jewels, it could contain a fresh new pair of sneakers now. Tiffany & Co. and Nike are officially joining forces for a “legendary” collaboration.

On Sunday, the iconic jeweler and the footwear company shared a photo on their respective social media accounts to tease the upcoming collaboration. The two brands also featured an advertisement in the Sunday print edition of the New York Times.

In the ad, a shoe box in the signature Tiffany & Co. robin’s egg blue hue has the iconic Nike swoosh on top. Above the box reads, “A Legendary Pair.” At the bottom of the photo, the Nike swoosh and Tiffany & Co. brand lettering complete a new combined logo. The companies captioned the post, “@nike x @tiffanyandco, a legendary pair. Coming soon… 👀.”

Whispers of a collaboration began when photos of a black nubuck, low-top Air Force 1 featuring a Tiffany & Co. blue leather swoosh leaked on Jan. 24, according to WWD. The images showcased a sterling black plate on the sneaker, similar to the jeweler’s Return to Tiffany motif.

Now, the brands have officially released images of the Nike x Tiffany & Co. Air Force 1 1837 (1837 is the year Tiffany’s was founded by Charles Lewis Tiffany) and have confirmed to WWD that the exclusive sneaker will be released on March 7, kicking off the jeweler’s first venture into the footwear category.

Celebrating the Air Force 1’s 40th anniversary, limited quantities will be available for purchase at two Tiffany & Co. New York locations (including the Flagship Next Door SoHo brick-and-mortar), on the Nike Snkrs app, and select Nike partner retailers in North America for a price of $400.

The two beloved labels will also co-produce of range of branded silver sterling accessories to coordinate with the sneaker drop. There’s a whistle, sneaker laces and more with prices ranging from $250 to $475. They will be available to shop on Tiffany & Co.’s website.

Since its 2021 acquisition by LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co. has teamed up with a number of covetable labels in swoon-worthy collaborations, including partnerships with Supreme, Swiss watch manufacturer Patek Philippe and Italian fashion house Fendi.

Tiffany & Co.’s partnership with Fendi was first shown during the Italian brand’s epic New York-based runway event in September in celebration of the 25th anniversary of its beloved Baguette bag. Tiffany & Co. was tapped to make a collection of Baguette-shaped silver charms and even a silver life-size baguette.

In January, the brand released the Tiffany & Co. x FENDI collection which reimagined the Baguette bag in the jeweler’s signature shade of Tiffany Blue with sterling silver, enamel, white gold and diamonds.
