Just days after her 50th birthday, Naomi Campbell has been announced as the first ever global face of Pat McGrath Labs. The pair have been friends and colleagues for some 25 years, first working together on a photoshoot for I.D. Magazine in 1994. Now, they are lauded as two icons in their respective fields, Campbell as one of the most celebrated supermodels ever and McGrath a widely decorated makeup artist and brand founder. As far as brand partnerships go, it really doesn’t get more extraordinary than this.

The news was announced via Instagram, where McGrath shared a video that opened by quoting Shakespeare: “What is in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would still smell as sweet.” It goes on to label Campbell as the “Divine Rose” as she fronts the campaign for the new Divine Rose II Eye Palette. Campbell herself shared the news on her own profile, stating she was “honored” to work with McGrath, touting her as an undeniable creative force and a part of her “chosen family.”
Campbell’s career has spanned over two decades and this development proves she has no plans of slowing any time soon. McGrath herself has a portfolio of work that reads like a dream, counting numerous fashion weeks, magazine covers, and red carpet looks as well. Known for her hyper-real skin, incredible pigment and deep, light-catching use of shimmer, McGrath is an industry legend, and Campbell’s genetically perfect face couldn’t be more right for the job.
To celebrate the iconic duo and Campbell’s new appointment, we’ve detailed some of her most incredible beauty looks below.
