There are two more A-listers joining the star-studded cast of Only Murders in the Building. The feel-good comedic trio Selena Gomez, Martin Short and Steve Martin are returning to Hulu for a third season of their endearing true crime series — and so is legendary actress Meryl Streep and beloved actor Paul Rudd.

Gomez revealed the exciting news with a wholesome video posted on Instagram. “Hey guys! We’re on set! What are we shooting? Season 3! The gang is back!” Gomez exclaims while flashing the camera to costars Martin Short and Steve Martin. “Yay! Could this honestly get any better? Oh wait,” she says as she turns the camera to Paul Rudd.

“Well, I DO think it could get a little bit better,” says Rudd. Suddenly, Streep pops up from behind the couch, offering Martin a pillow. “Steve, you want a pillow? Marty, anything you need?” she asks. “Just the tea that had asked for half an hour ago,” Short quipped back.

When Streep asks Gomez if she needs anything, the Disney alum responds, “I’m okay, thank you Meryl. You’re sweet,” before displaying a shocked expression for the camera. Gomez captioned the clip, “could cry 😭 season 3 is coming!”

Martin joined Gomez in revealing the news, posting a black-and-white selfie of Streep, Martin, Rudd, Short and Gomez on set. “The filming of Season 3 of ‘Only Murders in the Building’ has begun!” he wrote on Twitter. “A cast to dream of.” The Rare Beauty founder reposted the snapshot with the caption, “Very, very grateful lady! @onlymurdershulu @hulu @johnnyhoffman5 thank you for making this wanna-be an unbelievably, absurdly happy human 💤🌥️.”

It remains unclear if Streep will make a guest appearance or become a series regular. Rudd previously made a surprise cameo in the show’s season 2 finale, and it was revealed in August that he would be joining the starry cast for season 3.

Previously, Cara Delevingne, Tina Fey, Nathan Lane, Amy Schumer, Shirley MacLaine, Jane Lynch, Sting and Jimmy Fallon have all made A-list appearances on the show.

The streamer renewed the hit comedy series just three weeks after season 2 debuted.

“Only Murders in the Building is the true crown jewel of our slate,” said Hulu Originals and ABC Entertainment president Craig Erwich in a statement according to The Hollywood Reporter. “Its appeal across generations, the intersection of humor and heart, and its truly original approach are a hallmark of and testament to Dan [Fogelman], John [Hoffman], Steve, Marty and Selena’s work. We are grateful to be able to continue telling the stories of Charles, Oliver and Mabel to viewers that have consistently shown us they crave more of this story.”

According to Hulu, season 1 of the series was the streamer’s most watched original comedy, garnering universal critical acclaim.

Written by Martin, Dan Fogelman and John Hoffman, the hysterical murder-mystery follows three strangers, Mabel (Gomez), Oliver (Short), and Charles (Martin) all living in an exclusive Upper West Side apartment building, the Arconia. They bond over their shared love of true crime and quickly find themselves embroiled in a high-stakes murder investigation. They record a podcast as they try to solve the mystery, all while infusing slapstick humor along the way.
