When Valentine’s Day comes around, whether you’re in a relationship or not, it’s impossible to avoid the hype around it. What gift will you get your significant other? What will you wear (with a heavy emphasis on lingerie, natch). And while the whole “it’s what’s underneath that counts” adage that gets so much attention around this time of year, lacy undergarments and corsets are kind of an all of the time thing for us.

Rihanna famously stated that “If I’m wearing a top, I don’t wear a bra. If I’m wearing a bra, I just wear a bra,” and then went on to create Savage x Fenty. But designers seemed to have heard her loud and clear because lingerie as ready-to-wear has been a growing trend over the past few years. For brands like Mugler and Tom Ford, the “less is more” philosophy has long been a cornerstone of their identities but recently more designers are giving lingerie the chance to shine. Saint Laurent’s Fall/Winter 2020 collection prominently featured a plethora of bras, sheer tops, and latex that certainly heated things up for a winter collection and Dion Lee has been known for a corset and scantly placed cut out.

Whether you’re going for a Bridgerton-inspired corset or a pant that leaves less to the imagination, check out these lingerie pieces that can be worn beyond on Valentine’s Day-and beyond.
