Lil Nas X has done it again. The rapper’s known for bringing stop-and-stare styles to the red carpet and he didn’t disappoint at the 2022 MTV VMAs, arriving in a regal ensemble from British-American fashion designer Harris Reed.

Lil Nas X went sans shirt opting for a pair of black sequined high-waisted bell-bottom trousers to keep the focus on his feathered tiered hoop skirt and statement feathered headpiece from Reed’s demi-couture collection titled “60 Years a Queen.” It resembled the golden creation Reed designed for supermodel Iman for the 2021 Met Gala, but in this version, the feathers were hand-painted black.

“This is heavy and it is Harris Reed,” Lil Nas X said on the carpet. “It’s something fresh, something new, I feel amazing.”

Dramatic fashion is what the “Old Town Road” musician knows best. From his various Versace looks at the 2021 Met Gala, to his jaw-dropping on-stage style, Lil Nas X is always one to watch.

The artist is nominated for a whopping seven awards and took home the win for best collaboration along with Jack Harlow for their song “Industry Baby.”

“Wow, I’m up here like half naked,” the rapper joked. He changed into a black outfit with extreme allover cutouts, worn with an oversize black blazer and a black shimmering mini bag.

“I really appreciate you, MTV,” he continued. “I worked really hard last year, you know, me and my boy Jack. Thank you for the love and hopefully I’m back up here and I have something better to say. But I love y’all, and I’ll see some of y’all on the Long Live Montero Tour!”
