Stars always save their most head-turning styles for the coveted 2022 MTV VMAs red carpet. This year, celebs went for darker hues in statement-making silhouettes. Lizzo (who’s up for four awards) made a major entrance on the carpet in an oversize Jean Paul Gaultier Couture strapless gown with voluminous skirt, accessorized with statement earrings and lip ring.
Taylor Swift
Taylor went all-out with her high-shine moment in a high-collar, off-the-shoulder crystal embellished Oscar de la Renta mini dress with coordinating silver sandals and Lorraine Schwartz jewels. She kept things classic with her bold lip and curtain bangs.
BLACKPINK
BLACKPINK members came in coordinating black looks, with Lisa sporting a crop top and pants with skirt attached to the back from CELINE by Hedi Slimane with Bulgari jewels. Jisoo went for a sheer embellished gown with Cartier jewels, while Jennie chose an abs-baring Chanel bra top and low-waisted skirt and Rosé paired her long-sleeve Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello mini dress with Tiffany & Co. Schlumberger earrings and ring.
Lil Nas X
The rapper had a high-fashion moment on the carpet in a creation from Harris Reed’s “60 Years a Queen” collection shown in February. The black feathered headpiece and hoop skirt resembled a gold version first worn by Iman at the 2021 Met Gala. He teamed the look with De Beers Jewelry.
Nicki Minaj
The Video Vanguard Award recipient wore a Barbie pink look throughout the night in a ruched one-shoulder, high-slit gown with shimmering bustier and jewels from David Yurman, CICADA and Reza.
Anitta
Anitta worked all the angles in her Schiaparelli Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2022 look, featuring an asymmetrical corset with beaded heart pendant necklace across her left side and a curve-hugging red velvet skirt. She accessorized with Tiffany & Co. Schlumberger earrings, an Elsa Peretti Bone cuff, and Tiffany Soleste and Schlumberger rings.
Chloe Bailey
Chloe went with a leggy look in her high-shine custom Zigman gown featuring a sheer paneled corset and thigh-high slit, accessorized with Jimmy Choo sandals, H. Crowne bracelets and JustDesi rings.

It was all about the cutouts with the model’s skin-baring black midi dress, accessorized with silver pins, statement earrings from Lorraine Schwartz and silver ankle-strap sandals from Paris Texas.
