Kylie Jenner has marked Leo season with a 24 karat Kylie Cosmetics collection to celebrate her birthday month. The beauty mogul, who recently reformulated and revamped her entire makeup line to be clean and vegan, is releasing a special edition makeup range that takes inspiration from molten metallic gold – 24k, to symbolize and commemorate the age she’s turning.
And what would a Kylie Cosmetics collection be without an eye-popping, pleasingly OTT campaign? Jenner got together with longtime makeup artist and collaborator Ariel Tejada to create a truly striking beauty creation. Neatly groomed arches and glossy lips provided the perfect canvas for the gleaming look, which featured intricate yellow gold and bronze eye makeup set against a shimmering complexion.
Tejada used a combination of matte copper, yellow and chocolate eyeshadows for a smokey base, laying the foundation for some seriously artistic flourishes with eyeliner. A double dose of yellow liner ran across the inner and outer corner of Jenner’s eyelid crease, but faded out at the middle for a negative space effect.
An overlay of glittering gold liner passed underneath, adding extra radiance to Jenner’s cat-eye look. Her cheeks were further accentuated with a wash of gold highlighter, which the star created for the limited edition collection. Finishing off her flawlessly made-up face, Jenner lined her lips and applied a generous amount of her new lip lacquers in contrasting pinky-nude shades.
Wearing a matching gold mesh bikini top and mini skirt with chunky gold chains, the entrepreneur showed off an all-over body shimmer. Jenner said her glow was due to a (perhaps enthusiastic) application of the new Kylie Cosmetics body glow, a liquid highlighter that imparted a luminous finish to the former reality star’s limbs.
XXL hair extensions and extra blonde hair pieces rounded out the stunning shoot, which might just be our favorite yet.
One thing’s for sure – we’ll be shopping every product when it drops on August 8.
