Kendall Jenner Kylie Cosmetics

Over the years, Kylie Jenner has collaborated with almost her entire family in relation to her makeup line, Kylie Cosmetics. Everyone except Kendall, who was reportedly tied up with beauty contracts of her own, therefore never able to get involved. But finally, the model is a free agent and has worked with billionaire sister Kylie for months to finally reveal their collection, Kendall X Kylie, to the world just days ago.

Officially launching on the 26th of this month, the collection involves a range of products not previously seen at Kylie Cosmetics, including a  Kylight stick, bronzer stick and blush stick; a blotting powder and an “Everything Everywhere” gloss that can be applied to cheeks, eyes, lips, collarbones and so on.

The range errs slightly from Kylie’s signature airbrushed aesthetic, adopting a more glossy, off-duty model vibe commonly associated with Kendall. Take the lip kit for example: rather than Kylie’s signature taupey, over-lined matte, it’s a sheer, slightly shiny dusty rose (called Sister Sister, no less).

The launch is the first to come following claims made by Forbes that Kylie inflated company earnings, therefore contesting previous claims that she’s the world’s youngest ever self-made billionaire – a post previously held by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.

Following the news, Kylie bit back, tweeting: “What am I even waking up to… [I] thought this was a reputable site.. all i see are a number of inaccurate statements and unproven assumptions lol. i’ve never asked for any title or tried to lie my way there EVER. period.”

As mentioned, the range launches officially on Kylie Cosmetics June 26, with a portion of profits said to be donated to an organisation that protects and defends the rights and voices of black trans people. See here for more information.
