Known for her extensive fashion archive and impressively organized collection of sentimental memorabilia, Kim Kardashian can now add her Saturday Night Live Princess Jasmine costume, as well as boyfriend Pete Davidson’s Aladdin outfit to her closet thanks to a romantic gesture from the comedian on Valentine’s Day.
After appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! alongside her mom and sisters to promote their upcoming Hulu reality series, The Kardashians, the SKIMS mogul told Kimmel that Davidson gifted her the costumes and props from their SNL skit for the couple’s first Valentine’s Day together earlier this year, including the gold Genie lamp and magic carpet.
The moment wasn’t just part of Kardashian’s SNL debut in October, it was also when the duo shared their first kiss, on live TV. The late night host asked, “Kim, is this the first time you kissed Pete?” showing a picture of the now-famous bit. Kardashian smiled, replying, “Yeah.”
Rumors of their romance began circulating after Kardashian’s SNL hosting gig. They traveled on romantic vacations and stepped out for date nights shortly after, but they finally became Instagram official in March, when Kardashian shared photos posing with Davidson (and even puckering up for a smooch) on social media.
On the last season of the family’s former reality hit Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kardashian walked fans through her impressive fashion archive, which is impeccably ordered, with designer pieces covered in garment bags and labeled with pictures from when she wore the outfit. With racks of clothing, boxes filled with her magazine covers, old fragrance launches, and childhood memories, Kardashian lamented in an on air-interview, “I’ve saved everything. So I have every look, every dress, every event. I love it cause it’s like going down memory lane.”
In a Hulu-hosted pop-up event ahead of The Kardashians premiering on April 14, each sister set up a section for fans to experience. Kourtney’s room featured a Poosh kitchen, Khloé’s consisted of a Good American gym. There’s also a Kris Jenner-themed office, an 818 Tequila beach bar and Kylie Cosmetics glam room. Further showcasing her exemplarity penchant for archiving, Kim’s area doubled as a SKIMS closet where other pieces, including her gold chainmail Versace gown worn to the 2018 Met Gala, were also on display.
Kudos to Davidson, for giving the perfect gift for the person who has everything.
