Last night, at the DONDA listening event at Soldier Field in Chicago, Kim Kardashian appeared on stage with Kanye West wearing a Balenciaga wedding dress. The set of the stage was modeled West’s childhood home, and after a series of guest appearances, including bizarre choices such as DaBaby and Marilyn Manson, Kardashian showed up and stole the show.

The dress that Kardashian wore came from the Balenciaga Haute Couture FW21 collection, and a seemingly natural choice seeing as Demna Gvasalia worked with West throughout the entirety of the lengthy DONDA timeline.

Her appearance came out of nowhere after West performed his last song of the night, “No Child Left Behind.” The couple however have not confirmed that they are back together, nor is it expected.

It is more likely that Kim’s hand in the artistic vision of this album is more hands-on than expected. Both Kardashian and West have made it apparent that they will continue to be supportive forces in each other’s lives despite the divorce. West lent his help with the re-brand of KKW Beauty earlier this summer.

Sources tell TMZ that Kardashian was “happy to help” West with the appearance. But we can’t help but wonder, what was West trying to convey with the visual? West has dropped lyrics to his ex-wife before, like “Time and space is a luxury but you came here to show that you’re still in love with me,” and calling their relationship “best collab since Taco Bell and KFC.” He has performed new track “Love Unconditionally” at multiple DONDA events, which is seemingly an entire song dedicated to his love for Kim.

Did we mention that Kim’s appearance happened minutes after West set himself on fire while on stage? Oh yeah, and the album still has not been released.
